Week 1: Introduction to Story Elements

- Practice describing people, places, and objects.
Key Vocabulary and Phrases:
- Χαρούμενος/η ("happy"), Σπίτι ("house"), Φίλος ("friend").
- Υπάρχει ένας σκύλος στο πάρκο. ("There is a dog in the park.")
Activities:
- Create a list of characters and their traits.
- Write simple sentences describing a setting (e.g., "Το σχολείο είναι μεγάλο." - "The school is big.").
Week 2: Writing Simple Sentences and Sequencing Events
Focus:
- Practice writing sentences to describe actions and events.
- Learn connectors like και ("and"), μετά ("then"), and αλλά ("but").
Key Vocabulary and Phrases:
- Παίζω ("play"), Τρέχω ("run"), Πηγαίνω ("go").
- Μετά το σχολείο, τρέχω στο πάρκο. ("After school, I run to the park.")
Activities:
- Write a short paragraph (3–5 sentences) about a daily activity.
- Sequence three pictures and write a sentence for each.
Week 3: Building a Short Story
Focus:
- Combine learned vocabulary and sentences to write a simple story.
- Focus on beginning, middle, and end.
Key Vocabulary and Phrases:
- Μια μέρα... ("One day..."), Στο τέλος... ("In the end...").
- Η Μαρία βρήκε ένα κουτάβι στο δάσος. ("Maria found a puppy in the forest.")
Activities:
- Use a set of pictures to write a simple 5–7 sentence story.
- Pair activity: One student starts a story, and the other continues it.
Week 4: Sharing and Polishing Stories
Focus:
- Revise and share stories with classmates.
- Practice reading and storytelling.
Activities:
- Group activity: Read stories aloud and give feedback.
- Final project: Write a short story (8–10 sentences) and illustrate it.
