  • Learn and act out common verbs and everyday actions.

Key Vocabulary:

  • Τρέχω ("run"), Τρώω ("eat"), Πηδάω ("jump"), Κοιμάμαι ("sleep").

Activities:

  • Charades Round 1: Students act out verbs, and others guess the word in Greek.
  • Practice constructing sentences using the guessed words (e.g., "Τρώω μήλο." - "I eat an apple.").

Week 2: Animals and Nature

Focus:

  • Vocabulary for animals and elements of nature.

Key Vocabulary:

  • Γάτα ("cat"), Σκύλος ("dog"), Δέντρο ("tree"), Θάλασσα ("sea").

Activities:

  • Animal Charades: Students mimic animal movements and sounds.
  • Word association games after guessing to reinforce vocabulary.

Week 3: Emotions and Descriptions

Focus:

  • Express emotions and describe people or situations.

Key Vocabulary:

  • Χαρούμενος/η ("happy"), Θυμωμένος/η ("angry"), Μεγάλος ("big"), Μικρός ("small").

Activities:

  • Emotion Charades: Act out feelings using facial expressions and gestures.
  • Describe the acted-out emotion in a sentence (e.g., "Είμαι χαρούμενος." - "I am happy.").

Week 4: Everyday Scenarios and Wrap-Up

Focus:

  • Combine learned vocabulary into role-play scenarios.

Key Vocabulary:

  • Vocabulary from previous weeks used in simple contexts.
  • Examples: "Πού είναι η γάτα;" ("Where is the cat?"), "Ο σκύλος είναι μικρός." ("The dog is small.").

Activities:

  • Scenario Charades: Students act out everyday situations (e.g., ordering food, asking for directions), and others guess the scenario in Greek.
  • Final group activity: Team-based charades tournament.
